We’d like to invite you to the 28th Annual Santa Cruz PaddleFest (SCPF), the most magnificent display of the sport of paddle surfing in the world. The event is staged for March 28th-30th, 2014, at the internationally acclaimed break, Steamer Lane. We hope for epic surf and great town parties in our city famous for surf venues.

We will tout the Elite events at middle peak as a three day event for SUP, Wave Ski, and Surf Kayak. We have added a new kayak category to attract those white water athletes motivated enough to tackle big waves called Plastic Production. We will continue with the extremely popular Cowell’s Classic as a two day event for both SUP & kayak at this most user friendly break imaginable. Concurrent with the PaddleFest will be an open ocean SUP race, the Duel-athlon by Surf Tech, on Saturday. Canoe & Kayak/SUP Magazine will be putting out daily images for all to see-you will not want to be left out of the line-up.
The SCPF is guaranteed to deliver some great times. The kick off party is staged for Thursday night, the 27th, at Adventure Sports Unlimited (ASU), the Class V Surf Dogs, lead by one of our penultimate kayak designers, Randy Phillips, will be there to provide his BBQ fare. With this beginning celebration will set the stage for nightly parties where all facets of the paddle sports world will come together with food and libations to foster creative thought. We welcome athletes, manufacturers, spectators and ocean aware people to join in this wonderful gathering.
Registration can be had online at Active.com or on our website here. Registration ends March 14th, but remember, categories will fill; so prompt entry will assure your participation. Welcome to the greatest paddle surfing show on the planet and put your bid in for surf and sun-good luck!
